Your profile:

As a TEKLA Coordinating Technician, in collaboration with the Fabrication and Construction Engineering team, you will coordinate several technical aspects related to construction projects for buildings or other steel structures. Organized by nature, you will have experience of working in a 3D model-sharing environment and be able to manage all aspects of detailing, from modeling to detailing columns, beams, connections and all aspects of dimensioning and drawing annotation in order to produce fabrication drawings. A past master at reading structural drawings, you are used to producing RFIs (request for information) and providing answers as required.

 

Tasks and main responsibilities :

  • Setting and maintaining DPHV drawing standards
  • Analyze, understand and interpret information received on projects to be carried out, ensuring consistency of information;
  • Determine and calculate functional, physical, dimensional, structural or geometric constraints on parts;
  • Project coordination between customers and detail design subcontractors
  • Produce shop and assembly drawings using Tekla (3D) software for the fabrication of various steel structure components;
  • Produce assembly drawings containing the required sections and details;
  • Maintaining customer relations and constant communication with project managers
  • Other related duties and responsibilities

 

Your professional skills :

  • DEP in building drafting / DEC in civil engineering, structural option
  • Relevant experience in structural steel detailing (approx. 5 years);
  • Excellent command of TEKLA software or significant experience with other similar parametric softwares
  • Possession of an attestation de santé-sécurité générale sur les chantiers de construction (ASP card)
  • Ability to work on several projects in parallel
  • Organizational skills and an excellent team player;
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (several mandates in the U.S.)
